Chitrakoot Dham is a holy town and a popular pilgrimage destination located on the border of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh in India. The district, which covers an area of 3,164 sq km, is divided between Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, with the latter part falling under the Satna district. Chitrakoot is known for its religious, cultural, and historical significance, and is particularly associated with the legend of Lord Ram. It is believed that Lord Ram, his wife Sita, and his brother Laxman spent 11 years and 6 months in Chitrakoot in a cave called the Gupt Godavari during their exile.

Chitrakoot is home to many religious mountains, including Kamad Giri, Hanuman Dhara, Lakshman Pahari, Devangana Ghati, and Janki Kund. It attracts large crowds for major Hindu festivals such as Amavasya, Somvati Amavasya, Deepawali, Makar Sankranti, and Ram Navami, as well as for the free eye care hospital (Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust (SSSST)) run by Param Pujya Ranchhoddasji Maharaj.

Some of the famous tourist attractions in Chitrakoot Dham include the Ram Ghat, Kamta Nath Mandir, Hanuman Dhara, Bharat Koop, Sati Anusuya Ashram, Gupt Godavari, Ganesh Bagh, Bharat Milap Temple, Ram Darshan, Sphatik Shila, Rajapur, Brihaspati Kund, and the Kalinjar Fort.
